moyogo's little blog

Blogging about Open Source, fonts, language technology, maps and random stuff happening wherever I am.

Kipcool pointed out Librivox to me a few days ago. It's an interesting project. They are recording people reading public domain books and making the recordings available for anyone to download. It's pretty neat. Free audibooks, if you'd like. But at the same time, anyone can contribute. So if you enjoy reading your books aloud, do it next to your computer, record it and send it to them.

Il recherche des gens pour enregistrer des livres en français et d'autres langues. Si ça vous dit…

my friend Hugh is one of the Librivox founders - it was started here in Montreal! I've only worked on one project so far, mostly cos I don't get a lot of quiet time when I can record, but I'm hoping to do another again soon :)

you should allow non blogger comments btw! I don't use my blogger blog anymore, but I have a wordpress blog here.
